Glasgow Women’s Aid provides information, support and temporary accommodation for women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. We have refuge accommodation, follow on services and outreach services both for women and children across Glasgow. We are looking for experienced women who have the innovation and passion to drive our services forward.
CYP Outreach Worker, 1 x 35 hour post
Salary £27,851 plus 7.5% Out of hours Allowance
Fixed term to 31st March 2022
This is an opportunity to join an exciting new project within our Children and Young People’s Outreach Team that focuses on young people who are experiencing domestic abuse in their own relationship. As an Outreach Worker you will be in the community engaging young people in our service and providing therapeutic 1-1 support and therapeutic focused group work to young people. You will also work closely with partner organisations, promoting the service and raising awareness.
It is essential that you have experience of providing 1-1 support and groupwork for children who have experienced gender based violence, along with experience of carrying out Risk Assessments and support planning. Experience of working in an Outreach capacity would be advantageous. You must have a relevant qualification for working with children and young people such as SVQ Level 3 Social Service (Children and Young People).
CYP Refuge and Follow On, 1 x 17.5 hour post
Salary £13,925 (£27,851 pro rata), plus 7.5% Out of hours Allowance

Our Children and Young People team provide vital support to children dealing with the trauma of domestic abuse and leaving their home. They ensure that children are given a service which is driven by them and meets their needs. Our service includes 1-1 therapeutic support, therapeutic focused group work and free play sessions. You will also provide support as children move on from refuge. An important part of this role will be the development and delivery of innovative and creative groupwork.
