Children and Young People Outreach Worker (Fixed term contract funded to 31st March 2015)
35 hours per week
Salary £26,502 + 7.5% Out of Hours payment
As a Children and Young People Outreach Worker you will develop and implement an outreach support service to children and young people in the community. This service will be particularly aimed at children and young people who are not currently accessing support for domestic abuse issues. You will advocate on behalf of children and young people and will identify, adapt and produce appropriate resources for support plans.
To be a Children and Young People Outreach Worker you must have experiencing of supporting children and young people in both 1-1 and group situations. It is essential that you have a child centred approach and can engage with children and young people using a variety of resources.
The successful candidates must have a qualification recognised for SSSC registration. They will also have knowledge of and a commitment to a feminist analysis of domestic abuse. It is essential that candidates have knowledge of child abuse and child protection legislation.
