Board Members

We are currently recruiting unique individuals with the expertise, time and commitment to join our Board of Directors and provide sound strategic guidance and leadership to help drive the charity forward. We are interested in recruiting individuals with a range of skills and expertise to serve on our board. We are especially keen to hear from you if you have experience of operational service delivery in the third sector or have a background in PR, Media, HR or fundraising.

It would be advantageous, but not essential, to have previous experience of being a Board Member or working closely with a Board.  We are looking for Board Members with experience of various organisations and sectors.

CEDAR Co-ordinator, 35 hours per week, Salary £26,767

Fixed term contract to 31st March 2019

 

At Glasgow Women’s Aid we run the Children Recovering from Domestic Abuse Recovery Programme (CEDAR) for the Glasgow area which is funded by the Big Lottery.  The key aim of the CEDAR programme is to help mothers support their children in their recovery from domestic abuse.  It is a 12 week programme for children, young people and their mums to explore their experiences, understanding and feelings around domestic abuse.  

 

As a CEDAR Co-ordinator you will be co-ordinating and delivering the CEDAR programme, having responsibility for the women’s programme.  You will generate referrals, manage the assessment process and deliver the group work.  You will recruit, train and supervise co-facilitators to support the running of the group work.

 

It is essential that you have experience of working with women and/or children who have experienced domestic abuse in a group work and 1-1 setting.  You must be highly organised, proactive and work from the feminist perspective of domestic abuse.
