Job Vacancy

CEDAR Co-ordinator, 35 hours per week, Salary £26,767
Fixed term contract to 31st March 2019

Closing Date: 9am 26th June 2017

At Glasgow Women’s Aid we run the Children Recovering from Domestic Abuse Recovery Programme (CEDAR) for the Glasgow area which is funded by the Big Lottery.  The key aim of the CEDAR programme is to help mothers support their children in their recovery from domestic abuse.  It is a 12 week programme for children, young people and their mums to explore their experiences, understanding and feelings around domestic abuse.

As a CEDAR Co-ordinator you will be co-ordinating and delivering the CEDAR programme, having responsibility for the women’s programme.  You will generate referrals, manage the assessment process and deliver the group work.  You will recruit, train and supervise co-facilitators to support the running of the group work.

It is essential that you have experience of working with women and/or children who have experienced domestic abuse in a group work and 1-1 setting.  You must be highly organised, proactive and work from the feminist perspective of domestic abuse.
