Glasgow Women's Aid- 'A Way With Words' 

Last year Glasgow Women's Aid ran a storytelling and art project with women who had accessed our service. The result of this is a book called 'A Way With Words'. The book was launched at Glasgow Women's Library on International Women's Day by Nicola Sturgeon. The book is available to buy at £5 per copy.                                                      GWA Legal Surgeries

From Wednesday the 6th of July 2011, GWA will be holding a fortnightly legal surgery . These will be held in our public access office at 30 Bell Street, betwwen 10am and 2pm. No appointment is necessary. Thanks to Lynne Collingham and colleagues of T.C.Young and partners for providing this service. 

One Billion Rising

GWA held a One Billion Rising event at St Andrews in the Square on the 14th of February. We were joined by Johann Lamont, Karen Dunbar, SheBoom, Wild Women Writing and Achoired Taste. OBR events were held in over 200 countries to demand an end to Gender Based Violence. 1:3 women will experience rape and sexual assault at some point in their lives.
